Justin suggested this place when I was in Bangsar . I'm always game for any place that I've not tried before. It was around Christmas, hence the festive note.
Bottle of water. I've always liked them. Used to collect Esprit bottles and use them to fill up with drinking water. Plastic bottles were never quite my thing. Glass bottles are more hygienic to me as I can fill it up with hot water and kill all the germs away. Sadly, the rust/dust/dirty stuff still collect at the bottom after awhile just like how my vodka bottle is :( Need to buy those flexible bottle cleaner.
His cappuccino. Apparently, the last time he was there, they drew for him a heart. This time, it was a flower.
Perhaps the other time was a secret love letter?
His open ploughman's sandwich. Different from what I had previously.
Is it good?I don't know, didn't try the chicken. Only the potato salad.
Cold mayo potato salad. I love potatoes (maybe because I am one too) but cold potato salad is one of those things that I find hard to like. This was pretty decent. Bite size potatoes without an overpowering dressing.
No beetroot for me to stain my teeth =B
Smoked salmon, chickpeas, roasted vege.
It was my first time eating cold roasted veggie. Somewhat soft and squishy, not sure if it's my liking. Sure, it's different but the novelty wears off after like the 2nd piece. Tastes almost bland but the cheese did save it. A little as that's just what they gave. A little bit of cheese.
Chick pea salad. Reminds me of pico de gallo which I have been meaning to try to make for ages. Love this as it was refreshing , a little citrusy and a good crunch different from the soggy veggie. Bits of raw onion to give it that extra punch.
The only reason I put up with the other side dishes: smoked salmon. The first time I'm having an actual meal of smoked salmon
The other time which I could remember of having smoked salmon was a takeaway. It was a Sunday and I was in The Curve. Somehow, I got lucky that night and got to spend the night with teddy. While waiting for him to finish up stuff with the then-gf, got myself dinner and brought it to his place.
Offered him some but he refused.
Yes, patience is virtue. It's not the waiting that is unbearable. If anything, I could wait given a specific time frame. It is only when there doesn't appear to be an end in sight that kills.
